From the door...
Back Tor Farm sits in open farmland below the famous Great Ridge which stretches from the ancient hill fort on Mam Tor to Lose Hill.
The Nags Head in Edale is the official start of the Pennine Way. From the farm, footpaths and bridleways allow the visitor explore the abundant wildlife and fascinating geological phenomena in the area.
In the summer we have swallows and wagtails nesting in the outbuildings. See them flying around catching food for their young.
Wander up to Mam Tor via Hollins Cross, and maybe continue on to the 'Broken Road' or Speedwell Cavern. Alternatively visit Edale village for an afternoon tea or a pint.
